Internships

Many meteorology students have supplemented their classroom education with the valuable experience of career-related internships. Recently, undergraduate students from the meteorology program have obtained internships from many different employers, including the following:

School of Environmental and Biological Sciences Cooperative Education Program

Students can gain academic credits in conjunction with their internships by participating in the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences Cooperative Education Program. Through this program, students involved in part- or full-time employment related to their major or career interest can earn 3 to 6 credits per semester (up to a maximum of 15 credits) to be applied toward graduation. Credits are given for completing academic assignments that relate to the work experience, rather than just for having a job. Three of those credits may be used to satisfy the Experienced-Based Education requirement.
